Blulog meets Abu Dhabi
Awarded 2019 Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence and 2019 Golf Digest Editors’ Choice Award, The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa is one of the establishments that had been looking for a suitable solution to reduce risk of bacterial contamination and minimize the risk of food spoilage.
Blulog’s official distributor for UAE and Kenya, Smaats, has offered a real-time monitoring solution based on M2M technology to facilitate remote monitoring 24/7.
“First of all, temperature monitoring is a requirement imposed by the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority to all the establishments working in the so-called food service. Moreover, Westin’s managers wanted to save time dedicated previously for generating reports of temperature. Also, they needed customized software and immediate alerts. Blulog offers at the same time a certified solution and personalizable functionalities.”explain Sanjeewa Mendis, Manager Operations and Business Development at Smaats.
Offering a luxurious dining amenities, Westin wanted to make sure that the food stored in all the restaurants and kitchens is kept in optimized conditions. The Resort & Spa is thus equipped with 70 RF data loggers. The devices systematically measure and send data to a gateway, which – connected to the Internet – uploads it to the cloud. This enables hotel managers to ensure the quality of hundreds of plates served to their clients.
“As the system facilitate immediate and customized alerts, kitchen staff can react immediately if there is an excursion which can lead to food poisoning or waste of money. High precision reaching 0.2°C gives the guarantee of the system’s reliability. There are also diverse connections possibilities, from Ethernet through Wifi, 2G or BT for local view and the installation itself is very simple.”says Jeremy Laurens, Co-founder and CEO of Blulog.
Smaats can count as clients also other hotels in UAE, restaurants and other establishments from the HORECA sector.
