Questions & Answers

To find out if your Android smartphone is NFC, you can check it as follows:

> Settings

> More

If the NFC menu exists, it means that your Android phone is NFC.

By the way, most NFC Android smartphones have the standard logo on the back.

To read a logger by NFC the steps are simple:

  • Activate NFC on your phone in the settings (also see “How do I know if my phone has NFC?”
  • Position the back of your phone on the recorder: Try to determine where the NFC antenna is. For this, place the recorder on the different parts of the phone (top, middle or bottom).
  • Once the logger has been scanned, the Blulog application will be automatically proposed. Download it.
  • Once the application is downloaded, open it and then scan the logger again.
  • You now have access to all data. A PDF report is also available for download.

For a demonstration, check out the YouTube instruction video on the Blulog channel:

We advise you to place a datalogger in each of your fridges, cold rooms or containers, separated by a distance of around 3 meters.

Below is a list of things you should not do to avoid damaging Blulog instruments and ensuring their effectiveness.

  • Do not put the recorders, repeaters and hubs on the ground.
  • Do not confront the RF recorders with water and moisture. (See question “Are the recorders water resistant?”).
  • Do not install the hub too close to an electrical cabinet and / or within 50cm of a computer equipment (server type).

Repeaters, RF recorders, and Blulog Hubs should be placed 1m80 high.

One hub can be connected to an infinite number of dataloggers. You can thus monitor the temperature in your facility with only one hub. If your facility has a large surface, metal close to the loggers or thick walls, we recommend you to add repeaters.

The association can be done directly on the web application on “Loggers” page.

You can purchase a blulog repeater that will act as a relay and extend the range. The repeater just needs to be connected to an electronic outlet. A version with solar panel will soon be available.
