In this section you'll learn how to do the initial set up for bluNFC.
Connect the reader’s cable to one of your computer’s USB ports. You should hear a beep confirming the connection is established.
Open the bluNFC app. Just click on the “Windows” icon at the bottom left of your screen and click on the “bluNFC” application.
A database window should pop up. You can choose between two types of databases: SQLite and MySql.
SQLite has all the functionalities of the last versions and MySQL gives you the right to manage all data and authorize/block users.
SQLite set up
If you do not want to set your own path for the database (recommended), just click on the “Save” button.
If you would like to set your own path for the database, click the “…” button near the “Path to database” field. Now select your destination folder for the database.
Click the “Test the connection” button to make sure everything works fine. You should see a “Valid” message near the button. Now click the “Save” button.
MySQL set up
MySQL set up is less frequently used. The instructions about it are available at the end of these instructions in the “Additional” section.
bluConsole set up
In order to upload logger’s data after scan to your bluConsole account, you would have to insert your login details. On the BluNFC “What do You want to do?” screen click on the “BluConsole Account” button (alternatively select “Settings” and “BluConsole” from the top menu).
Insert your login details and click on the “Save” button.
