Location Tracking

In this section you'll learn how to update GPS position and show logger's route.

GPS status

  1. In order to update GPS position, first press on the “3 dots” icon on the top right.

  2. A drop-down menu will appear where you will be able to select “Settings”.

  3. Inside settings set the “Auto location” to “yes”.

  4. Also make sure that the location tracking is switched on your smartphone.

  5. Reopen the bluTag application. A new window should pop up asking you to allow bluTag to access your device’s location.

  6. Press on the “ALLOW” text.

Make sure you are connected to a carrier on your smartphone.

  1. Press on the “3 dots” icon on the top right. A drop-down menu will appear where you will be able to select “GPS status”.

    If the GPS position was updated, the message should appear at the bottom with date and time of the update.

Logger route

  1. In order to show the logger’s route press on the “3 dots” icon on the top right.

  2. A drop-down menu will appear where you will be able to select “Show logger route”.

Make sure you are inside a “Recording Details” section.

Thanks to this tool, you will be able to check where in the past the logger was scanned using Google Maps.

Logger Info

In this section you'll learn how to access the logger's info.

  • In order to show the logger’s info press on the “Logger info” button.

Inside you will see several useful information regarding the device – the ID number of the logger itself, versions of firmware and hardware, calibration and expiration date, how many recordings have been used already and recording time left.

Recording Details

In this section you'll learn how to access recording details, share temperature report, upload data to cloud and more.

  • By pressing the “Recording details” button, you will be taken to the page where you can press any of these 4 buttons: “Temperature graph”, “Share temperature report”, “Upload data to cloud” and “Download PDF report”.

If the “Recording details” button is inactive, exit the application and bring the logger close to the smartphone.

Temperature & humidity graph

  • In order to access the temperature & humidity graph (if your logger measures humidity), just press the “Temperature graph” button.

    Try to drag it with your fingers to widen or shrink the graph.

Temperature and humidity graph enables you to see the history of measurement in form of a graph.

Temperature graph will be shown in a blue color and humidity graph in an orange color.

Share temperature report

  • In order to share your temperature report press the “Share temperature report” button.

You can send it either by email, message, Bluetooth or other means. The report will be sent in the form of a CSV document.

Upload data to cloud

  1. In order to upload the data to cloud, press the “Upload data to cloud” button.

  2. A new window will pop up where you will be able to input your bluConsole account login details. You can choose to upload as anonymous and automatically upload to the cloud at each reading by checking the field “Remember decision”.
  3. Press the “OK” text to save the details.

Download PDF report

  • When you scan the loggers, the question “Do you want download PDF report” will pop up automatically.

    You can choose to remember the decision to have PDF reports downloaded automatically at each reading.

    Press the “YES” text to save the report.

    If you press the “NO” text, or if the question did not appear, follow the instructions below.

  • Press the “Download PDF report” button to save the report on your phone.

You will find the report in the “My files” app on your smartphone inside a “Download history” or “Documents” folder. You can then send it to others or upload it to your computer.

Depending on your smartphone model the app name, like “My files” (this is a place where your files are shown), or the folder names, like “Download history”, may differ.

Recording

In this section you'll learn how to start, stop and restart a recording.

Start recording

  • Open the bluTag app. Place the logger near your smartphone/reader.

    On the main page press on the button “Start new recording”.

  • Choose the right profile from the drop-down menu on the top. You can choose either “Default”, “Basic” or “Shipping” profile.

  • In the “Default” profile you can add the information regarding product description, producer, sender, recipient or even a tracking number. All these elements can help you to facilitate the logistics process.

  • If you do not want to add such detailed information, choose a “Basic” profile, where you will be asked to fill in only the most important fields.

  • For shipping purposes choose a “Shipping” profile. Like in other profiles, you will be able to scan barcodes.

    Just press on the “camera” icon that is on the right side to be directed to a camera view.

    Now you can scan the barcode.

  • For all the profiles you can also choose length of measurement cycle, time thresholds for activating the alert diodes, temperature limits, cumulating duration of breach, manual start, delay of start or date of recording start.

  • In order to choose a manual start, just press the checkbox “Manual start with button“.

    For an instant start, just leave this checkbox unchecked.

    For a delayed start, just press on the “Date of recording start”* and select your date and time or press on the “Delay of start of recording”* field and select number of minutes.

*For a delayed start you have an option to start a recording at a specific date and time or after “x” number of minutes. You can choose between these 2 options inside “Settings”.

  • Just press the button “Start new recording” to confirm and place the smartphone in contact with the data logger.

  • If you have chosen the manual start, press the “PUSH START” button visible on the logger for around 3 seconds until you see both diodes blinking.

Stop recording

  1. To stop the recording, press on the “Stop recording” button.

  2. Place the logger near your smartphone to complete the operation.

    You can now start another recording, choosing the new parameters.

Restart recording

  1. If you want to start a new recording using the same parameters, press on the “Restart recording” button instead of the “Stop recording” button.

  2. Place the logger near your smartphone to complete the operation.

Clearing Loggers

In this section you'll learn how to clear my loggers and visible loggers.

  • In order to clear loggers, tap the “3 dotted” menu at the top right.

You will have 2 options to select. You can “Clear Visible Loggers” which means it will remove the loggers that are currently in your “All Loggers” tab. You can also “Clear My Loggers” which will clear the loggers that are inside the “My Loggers” tab.

Clear visible loggers

  • In order to clear loggers visible in the “All Loggers” tab, select “Clear Visible Loggers” from the list.

You may notice that after clearing visible loggers, they will pop up again. This is because the app is collecting the loggers that are currently connected to the paired hub.

This functionality is useful e.g. when you have moved the loggers and/or a hub and you would like to see only the currently connected loggers to the hub.

When the logger results refresh, the app does not automatically remove the loggers that were connected to the hub during the previous refresh but are not connected now.

Clear my loggers

  • In order to clear loggers visible in the “My Loggers” tab, select “Clear My Loggers” from the list.

Widget

In this section you'll learn how to use the widget.

  • In order to move the widget, just hold it and move it anywhere you desire.

  • In order to minimize the widget, just tap on the “X” icon located at the top right of the widget. In order to maximize it, just tap on the bluRadio logo.

  • If you are outside the bluRadio app and you would like to quickly go back, tap on the “expand” icon located at the top right of the widget.

  1. In order to remove the widget, first hold it and move it a bit. A black circle should appear at the bottom.

  2. Drag the widget down to the circle and release it there.

Chart

In this section you'll learn how to access and customize charts.

  1. In order to show a chart for a specific logger, first make sure you are inside “My loggers” tab. Hold on to the specific logger.

  2. Select “Show chart” from the list. A new page should appear with a chart.

  • In order to see the details of a specific point on a graph, tap on the point. A new window should appear with more details. Press the “OK” link to close the window.

  • In order to zoom in/out a graph, expand it or shrink it with your fingertips.

  1. In order to show a graph for a specific date, tap on the “calendar” icon located at the top right. A new window should pop up.

  2. Select your desired date and tap on the “OK” button.

  • In order to go back from specific date filtering to a whole period, tap on the “left arrow” icon located at the top right.

Authentication

In this section you'll learn how to authenticate.

  1. In order to authenticate, tap on the “hamburger menu” icon located at the top left. A new window should slide in.

  2. Now, tap on the “Authenticate” link. A new page should appear.

  3. Insert your username and password and tap on the “Authenticate” button.

Authentication step is required in order to change data for a hub.

Bluetooth

In this section you'll learn how to check Bluetooth connection.

  • In order to check Bluetooth connection, just notice the icon at the top right, near the “3 dotted” icon.

Legend:

A “crossed” Bluetooth icon means that the hub is not paired with the app.

A Bluetooth icon with “2 dots” means that the hub is paired with the app.

Settings

In this section you'll learn how to access and change settings.

  • In order to access settings, tap the “3 dotted” menu at the top right. Select “Settings” from the list.

Change hub settings

  • Now you can tap on the buttons to make appropriate changes. Once it is finished, click the “Save” button.

Not every hub supports all the settings. Please check within your hub which settings can be changed and which not.

Run app on start

  • In order to run the app automatically when you open your phone (or just show it if you have closed it), just tap the checkbox “Run app on start”. After that tap on the “Save” button.

Show widget

  • In order to run the widget automatically when opening an app, tap the checkbox “Run widget automatically”. After that tap on the “Save” button.

“My Loggers” List

In this section you'll learn how to add, edit or delete loggers.

  • There are 2 ways to add the logger to “My loggers” list. First, it is to hold a specific logger. A window will pop up.

  • Select “Yes”. A new window will pop up.

  • Tap the “Add logger” button. Now tap on the “My loggers” tab. You should be able to see your newly added logger.

  • You can also add a logger by tapping the “3 dotted” menu at the top right. From the list select “Add logger”. Now you can follow the steps analogically like it was just explained.

The only difference in this method is that you will have to insert the logger’s ID manually, whereas in the previous one you have selected it by holding a specific box.

  • In order to remove the logger from “My loggers” list, first go to “My loggers” tab. Now, hold on a specific logger and choose “Delete” from the list.

  • In order to edit the logger from “My loggers” list, first go to “My loggers” tab. Now, hold on a specific logger and choose “Edit” from the list.

  • Now you will be able to make the appropriate changes. Once you are finished, tap on the “Add logger” button.
