Loggers

Before placing loggers at your desired positions I would like to show you some useful installation tips to make sure everything works out perfectly fine for you. Please follow them while placing your devices.

Installation Tips

Tip 01 —  No water, please

Avoid direct contact with water (except for the waterproof probe).

Tip 02 —  No metal, please

Do not install it on a or near metal surface. If it is required, please separate it, for instance by a plastic plate.

Tip 03 —  Keep me close!

Please make sure to place your loggers within the 700 meter range from the hub to ensure the connection between devices.

Installation

Once you follow these tips, you can now install the loggers in the desired locations.

You can install them using an adhesive tape or a clamp band.

Final check

Thank you for following the tips. Now, go back to bluConsole and make sure that all of your installed hubs and loggers are connected.

In case some hubs are not connected, first check if there is any issue with the power source.

In case the loggers do not appear to connect, move them closer to the hub.

If these problems persist, don’t worry! Please continue reading this instructions manual to the next section, Troubleshooting.

Hubs

Before placing hubs at your desired positions I would like to show you some useful installation tips to make sure everything works out perfectly fine for you. Please follow them while placing your devices.

Installation tips

Tip 01 —  More breathing

Avoid leaving less than 5cm of space on all sides. Restricted air flow may cause overheating.

Tip 02 —  Bye bye ceiling & corners

Make sure to keep it at least 1m from the ceiling and the corners.

Tip 03 — Higher, please!

Do not install it on the floor or a low desk. The higher the device is placed the better. You can mount the hub on the wall or other surface to protect it from mechanical damage.

Tip 04 —  Sayonara IT equipment

Also, do not place it near IT equipment, like laptops and desktop computers.

Tip 05 —  Metal: get lost!

Same for metal surfaces or near metal objects. If you do not have other choice, make sure to separate the device using for example a wooden or a plastic board.

Tip 06 —  No faraday cage

Next, avoid installing it on premises where the Faraday cage phenomenon occurs.

Tip 07 —  No kids allowed!

And last but not least, keep the hub away from children. Keep it high enough to be outside their reach.

Installation

Once you follow these tips, you can now install the hubs in the desired locations.

You can install them using screws, an adhesive tape or a clamp band.
