Loggers

Any logger-related problems? Please follow these pointers to fix them now!

Issue 01 – Logger is too far

  • First, please try to install the RF logger more close to the hub or move the hub closer.

Issue 02 – RF module issue

If it does not help, check if the logger is actually recording data. You can use a bluTag app on your phone or a bluNFC app on your desktop with NFC reader to read data. Please follow resources below to learn more about these apps.

  • Place your logger near your phone or NFC reader to read data.

In case the logger is recording current data but not sending them to the hub, there could be an issue with the RF module. Please contact us for further help.

Issue 03 – Logger has expired

  • In case the logger is not recording current data, please check on bluConsole if the logger has expired. To do it, go to the “Loggers” page, type in your logger ID number and check the date in the “Expiration date” column.

If that is the case, we welcome you to place an order! If it is not the case, please contact our support.

Hubs

Getting stuck? No worries. Just follow these simple pointers to get your RF monitoring system up & going quicker than you think!

First plug in

After plugging the hub to the power source, the green and the red diodes should light up. The green diode is linked to the power source. It should stay on all the time. The red diode is linked to the internet connection.

If you’re using a GSM or WiFi internet connection, the red diode should start blinking slowly informing that the hub is looking for the network. Once it is connecting it should blink faster and once it’s connected it should switch off.

Little note: With a GSM internet connection, the red diode could become inactive for 10 to 15 minutes or more after the initial lighting up when connecting the hub to the power source.

Issue 01 – Green diode is switched off

  • If the green diode is switched off, the problem could be related to the power source. Make sure that the hub is properly connected to the power source.

Please also try to test a different plug to make sure it is not a plug issue.

  • If it doesn’t solve the issue, leave your hub connected for 5 minutes. Then, if the diode does not switch on, disconnect and reconnect the hub.

  • If this does not work, unplug the hub first. Then, wait around 1 minute and replug the hub.

Issue 02 – Red diode stays on

  • If the red diode stays on and you are using a combo hub, it could be due to the use of the back-up internal battery that switches on automatically when the primary power source is not working. Please check if there is any issue with the power source.

Issue 03 – Red diode blinks all the time

  • If the red diode blinks indefinitely, the problem could be related to the internet connection. If you are using a GSM or WiFi internet connection, please try to change the location of your hub and see if it helps to connect to the network.

  • If you are using an ethernet or Wifi connection, please check if your router or modem is behaving correctly.

Hub is behaving correctly? Great! Now check if it is connected to bluConsole.

In case the hub is still not behaving correctly or does not show up as connected on bluConsole, please contact us for further assistance.
